My 11+ journey was long and arduous, filled with numerous challenges that required a great deal of effort to persist and keep on studying. I developed effective study strategies and maintained a disciplined routine, all of which contributed to my growth. The experience ultimately taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work, laying a solid foundation for my future life.
The time to start
I started preparing for the exam (which is in September Year 6) at the start of Year 4, as I wanted to give myself ample time and reduce any anxiety leading up to the test. I would recommend beginning this preparation in Year 4, as it allows for the opportunity to master each subject thoroughly. However, if you feel more confident in your abilities , you could consider starting in Year 5. Ultimately, the key is to find a balance that works best for your confidence level.

The books I used
I used a plethora of books including CGP, Bond, and Target Your Math, which really helped me to deepen my understanding. Each of these resources helped me greatly and enriched my learning experience. The CGP books offered helpful practice questions, while the Bond books provided rigorous problem-solving questions. Additionally, Target Your Math offered a structured approach for tackling various mathematical concepts. This made it easier for me to understand complex topics. Overall, the combination of these books created a comprehensive foundation that significantly boosted my confidence and performance in mathematics and English.

Tuition
I was fortunate enough to attend a tuition that greatly impacted my academic journey. This experience was not just about learning new concepts; it also came with a structured routine of homework that was carefully designed to challenge me and push me forward. The regular homework assignments encouraged me to explore topics in greater depth, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Overall, this tuition was a necessary experience that instilled in me a love for learning . I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support I received.
The test papers I took
You could say I took quite a few test papers, including those from the esteemed Queens Elizabeth School and all three Sutton grammar schools, as well as the highly competitive Saint Olaves. Each of these institutions is known for its rigorous academic standards and exceptional results, which motivated me to prepare extensively. I dedicated countless hours to studying past papers and in the end passed all three schools
